Breckenridge Presents:

Oktober-FEAST

The first weekend in December begins Breckenridge’s annual transformation into a sparkling holiday scene. While large gatherings like the official lighting countdown and the Race of the Santas have been postponed until 2021, the holiday spirit still twinkles throughout our community with a holiday line-up guaranteed to warm any Grinch’s heart.

Those visiting Breckenridge during the December 5th kick-off weekend can expect a “Santa-fied” community decked out in Santa suits, a festival of trees creating a winter wonderland, and animations aimed to surprise and delight with appropriately distanced s’more stations, self-guided snowshoe adventures to see Santa, and more! The iconic holiday lights in downtown Breckenridge are one of the most photographed sights during the snowy months and continue to shine and spread hope all winter long.

The Lighting of Breckenridge will adhere to all public health and safety regulations required for Colorado. Learn More.

Almost as magical as Santa himself, the Riverwalk will be transformed into a winter wonderland of holiday splendor featuring beautifully decorated trees, each with their own theme and style. Local businesses and non-profits will be invited to participate. Registration TBD.

Santa Spectacular - finding the real Saint Nick!

Santa Claus is a portly, jolly, white-bearded man with spectacles—wearing a distinct wardrobe of a red coat and trousers with white fur collar and cuffs. Don’t miss his red and white bobbled hat, black leather belt and boots. Not only does he carry a bag full of gifts for children, he’s also known to always have a ripped handkerchief, given to him by Mrs Claus. He has traveled all over the world, through time, and to distant magical lands.

In a Town full of Santas, can you identify the real one?

Storytellers and S'mores

Santa and some of his friends are stopping by Riverwalk to read stories from some of our holiday favorites. Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the season with an evening around the campfire, enjoying hot chocolate, listening to stories, and making s’mores.
