Advantages of sending your kids to Summer Camp in Breckenridge
Camp nurtures social skills and fosters teamwork
Summer Camp is a community away from home and school where kids can connect, build relationships and manage conflict with other local and guest kids. Camp facilitates an environment where kids learn that to succeed they must work together with their peers and their camp leaders. Through teamwork, they learn that they are each an integral part of the camp community where they can feel a sense of acceptance and belonging.
Camp enhances self confidence
According to an extensive study of camper outcomes conducted by Philliber Research Associates, 70 percent of parents report that their child gained self-confidence while at camp. Whether they work through being away from mom and dad or tackle an activity that pushed them outside of their comfort zone, kids walk away feeling a stronger sense of personal pride and self-reliance.
Unplug and build friendships!
Children today are living a different type of childhood than many of us experienced, and studies have confirmed what is happening in our own communities. Children are more sedentary, less connected to nature, and live more structured lives with less time for free-choice play than previous generations. Camp gives kids an opportunity to explore Breckenridge in a way without electronics with local kids who grew up to love what nature has to offer.
