The charm of Breckenridge gets turned up a notch every December 31st for New Years Eve with Fireworks and the resort’s traditional Torch Light parade from the top of the peaks into town. Whether you’re looking to ring in the new year on the mountain, at a party in town, or relaxing with hot cocoa, there’s something for everyone over the holidays in Breckenridge!
Where to Watch Fireworks in Breckenridge on New Years Eve
Fireworks will light up the skies on New Years Eve from the base of Peak 9 at Breckenridge Ski Resort! The show will fire off around approximately 9:30pm on December 31st and is expected to last about 15 minutes.

- North Gondola Parking Lot
- Base of peaks 7, 8, or 9
- Main Street Station
- Ridge Street
- Boreas Pass or Baldy Road
Annual Torchlight Parade on Peak 9
This is tradition at its finest. The annual Torchlight Parade on Peak 9 is a “must see” if you’re in town for New Years Eve. The Breckenridge Ski & Snowboard School will be hosting their annual New Years Eve Torchlight Parade on Peak 9 at 6pm, which features skiers holding bright red torches, while skiing over one-thousand vertical feet down to create a Christmas Tree path of lights twinkling bright on the mountain. An hour before the Torchlight Parade, kids are invited to participate in the Glow Worm Parade if they are able to ski/ride a green run on their own. Kids who would like to join can meet at the Beaver Run Ski School before 5 PM to and get a glow stick. The Glow Worm Parade takes place off the Camelback Platter at the base of Peak 9.
